Cannabis retailers in Ontario were given the thumbs up on providing curbside pick-up and delivery services back in April 2020 by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The process of placing an order for delivery or curbside pick up with an authorized cannabis retailer or from the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) is more or less the same across the province; visit their website, browse their menu, add items to the cart, check out, fill in your personal and payment details and click on place order.
Some authorized cannabis retailers, including the OCS, may even offer the option for same-day delivery for a small fee.
Before you can collect your order, whether curbside pickup or a delivery outside your residence, it is mandatory by law for you to present a valid government photo id and the credit/debit card that was used to pay for the order to the deliverer(provided you prepaid for curbside pickup).
Which Cannabis Products Can Be Ordered for Delivery?
You can order anything from an authorized cannabis retailer’s online menu like cannabis edibles, cannabis concentrates, cannabis extracts, pre-rolls, dried flower, cannabis beverages, vaporizers etc., within the legal limit of 30 grams (or the equivalent of extract, edible or topical) per transaction, which is also the legal public possession limit.
All the online legal dispensary menus, whether on Dutchie or similar e-commerce platforms, are programmed to prevent you from adding more than the legal limit of 30 grams to your cart.

All orders placed online with us at Highland Cannabis are fulfilled by our Budtenders who take turns completing deliveries; so you’re dealing with our knowledgeable and talented team members that are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our delivery fee is a flat $5 and we accept payments by credit card (only when purchased online through the website), e-transfers, and even cash at the door.
Please note, If you do use your credit card to prepay for an order online, you should be prepared to present the same physical credit card at the door, and to sign the credit card receipt at the door (along with your government-issued photo id).
When We Deliver
You can place an order with us anytime between 10:00 am and 7:30 pm and we fulfill deliveries throughout the day starting at 11:00 am.
Given our store policy, from the time you place an order, you can expect to receive your order within 1 or 2 hours.
Each of our drivers can take around 2 hours to complete 6 to 8 deliveries so if we’re experiencing a high volume of orders, there is a chance your order could be delayed in which case we’ll contact you to let you know.
Customers should be prepared to present a government-issued photo ID upon receiving their delivery. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Where We Deliver
Finally, we provide cannabis delivery services, including same-day delivery, within a 10 km radius of our store; this distance covers most of Kitchener and Waterloo.
If you live close to our store, there is a good chance that we’ll be able to deliver your order within an hour’s time or sooner.
